Railtex 2019 to prioritise educational programme during exhibition

Railtex 2019 has unveiled a comprehensive educational programme when Birmingham’s NEC plays host to the three-day event in May.

Between 14th to 16th May this year, the industry’s foremost exhibition of railway technology and services will take centre stage, with more than 8,000 rail professionals and 400 suppliers in attendance, along with thousands of products on display from those organisations who demonstrate the latest industry technology and innovations.

Visitors will gain access to the innovation and new technologies, while digital will also be a major focus.

In addition, Railtex has announced a comprehensive educational programme will take place each day.

This will include keynote addresses, technical seminars, project updates and interactive discussion forums.

Leading industry figures will be speaking during the educational programme, as will senior managers responsible for implementation of current UK rail projects.

Talks will be held in the Seminar Theatre and Knowledge Hub.

Railtex has confirmed it will be working alongside the Railway Industry Association to offer attendees an outstanding selection of project updates and industry briefings, with speakers from HS2 and Innovate set to take to the stage at the Knowledge Hub.

Other confirmed speakers include representatives from influential organisations such as Network Rail, RSSB, the Rail Supply Group and Midlands Engine.

More are set to be announced.

The Railway Industry Association will also host a special one-day conference on Wednesday 15th May, which is also free of charge to pre-registered visitors. This new Future Focus Conference will facilitate dialogue between those responsible for major projects delivery and the supply chain and will offer insights and discussions around a number of pressing issues for the future of rail, including high speed rail, digital railways and sustainability.

Those who register for Railtex will gain access to industry keynote speeches, project updates, and technical seminars accredited by the CPD Certification Service.
