Transport Britain is proud to be a media partner of Railtex 2019 – the largest rail exhibition in the UK.
For more than 20 years, Railtex has provided an important platform for trade, networking opportunities and educational sessions.
Railtex 2019 will be held at the NEC in Birmingham, for three days from 14 May to 16 May.
This year is the 14th edition of this international exhibition of railway equipment, systems & services, and with exhibitor numbers continuing to grow, Railtex 2019 is expected to be the biggest exhibition to date.
The event is home to a variety of seminars, discussion forums and keynote speeches, featuring notable names in the industry who highlight the trends within the sector.
Attendance benefits organisations throughout the spectrum of rail; whether they are established businesses who are promoting new services, or a start-up looking to take advantage of fantastic networking opportunities, Railtex 2019 offers exhibitors vital space to showcase their offerings.
This year, the leading exhibition of railway products and services will host a new Digital Rail Forum, alongside other presentations, demonstrations and discussions.
The aim of this is to inform visitors and businesses on the impact digital technology is having on transforming the industry.
Given the need to increase capacity and modernise the railway, digital rail technology is becoming ever more vital; Network Rail is driving this with its own Digital Railway Strategy, and Railtex will see a presentation from the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE), focusing on digital innovation and technology, as part of The Digirail project, an ERDF-funded scheme aimed at establishing digital rail demonstrations to showcase long term innovation and support to SMEs developing digital products and services in the sector.
Kirsten Whitehouse, exhibition manager, said: “At Railtex 2019, we’ll be providing an array of presentations, demonstrations and discussions to help suppliers and railway managers understand and discover how digital technology is transforming the sector.”
More than 330 organisations will be exhibiting at Railtex – a mixture of UK and international suppliers – and Transport Britain is delighted to be associated with the exhibition.
