Peugeot launch light commercial vehicles conversion range

Automotive manufacturer Peugeot has unveiled its new light commercial vehicle conversion programme, that provides a range of six vehicles.

The range, known as Built for Business, made its debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham, which took place between 24 – 26 April and saw a range of innovations showcased that will benefit industries and local authorities who rely on fleets to undertake some of their operations.

The six models in the range are Tipper, Dropside, Luton, Box and Curtainside body options, and the Low-Floor Luton, all of which are based in the Peugeot Boxer 335 chassis.

All six of these light commercial vehicle conversions are included in the Peugeot Boxer product guide, and the company can offer local authorities and other clients quick delivery and a range that comprises of excellent payloads.

There is standard equipment included as part of all six models; with air conditioning, an uprated battery and revised dual leaf rear suspension with anti-roll bar.

As an example of the range, the Tipper have bolted construction bodywork which guarantees ease of maintenance.

Parts are made from steel and aluminium so that payload is optimised.

The front gantry has a range of load securing points, with a one-tonne capacity load securing eyes in the upper structure.

Elsewhere, the Luton has body parts constructed from GRP for optimum strength, put together on a galvanised steel frame.

Thanks to lightweight aluminium frames, this model will give clients approximately 80kg of additional payload.

Internal kick strips have been fitted to protect against damage, with standard equipment comprising of a 500kg capacity column tail lift to enable operation from both inside and outside of the vehicle.
